Local anesthesia is a temporary loss of sensation including the sense of pain in a part of the body and it happens by injection of local anesthetic agent without loss of consciousness. In this research we study this problem to evaluate the efficacy of local anesthesia which is given to patient in case of toothache and dental caries through the using of control chart such as mean chart, dispersion chart, cusum chart In addition to use (xand Moving Rang-chart). We explain the effect of the age and gender in withstanding the pain due to injecting the patient with this type of local anesthesia in addition to the suitable time for waiting period till the local anesthesia start to be effective. The sample include (80) patients injected with local anesthesia (Lidocaine with adrenaline) which is the most used local anesthesia, safe and effective if it is used within its regulations. The result is that: there is no relation between the age and the waiting period needed to be waited by patient in addition to that the gender has no effect on waiting period. But generally, males are more withstanding the pain than female and the adult &old patients are the most withstanding and understanding to the pain than children.Downloads
