Abstract

Our study includes the crime of enforced disappearance and its impact on the right to life، and this crime is one of the most serious crimes that violate the concepts of humanity. It is recognized that this crime began to spread in most countries of the world, and some regimes are practicing the act of enforced disappearance in a clear and organized direction towards many opponents of its political system and civil activists, and this is what prompted the international community to criminalize and punish these acts through the conclusion of many international agreements, covenants and declarations on the protection of human rights, which ensured protection from enforced disappearance under exceptional circumstances and emergency situations. But this is not absolute, but it is confined by controls and restrictions, especially as this crime represents a clear violation of human right to life, liberty and personal security.
