Abstract

The natural environment is dependent on the main elements, namely air, water, and land, is considered to be one of the fundamentals of life. The ecosystem is characterized by a balance between the elements, which led to the acceleration of development in various areas of life and the use machines and the manufacture of chemicals and radioactive materials and the increase in the use of sources of power generation, and the excessive depletion of natural materials, and the occurrence of disasters led to an imbalance in the environmental balance, resulting in the emergence of many problems. Attention to water resources must be carefully managed in order to meet the human needs for drinking water and other uses. As one of life's necessities, clean, unpolluted water is essential. Water is the primary means of both short- and long-term geographic expansion. River water pollution is one of the biggest issues facing humanity; it can arise from natural or artificial sources and pose a threat to human life. For this reason, it is crucial to purify water to remove pollutants, which is why the World Health Organization issues international standards and guidelines.
